Morning After Pill

Women’s Health Care Clinic offers pregnancy tests, pregnancy termination services, ultra sounds, emergency contraception options, counseling for both adults and teens.

Did you have unprotected sexual intercourse? Maybe you missed a couple of days taking your birth control pill? Did the condom leave you worried about pregnancy becoming a possibility? If so, emergency contraception might be a good choice for you.

The emergency contraception treatment is an FDA approved method of preventing pregnancy. While we don’t recommend this method in place of your regular birth control, it is 90% accurate at prevention of pregnancy on the one time your forgot your birth control.

The staff of Women’s Health Care Center will help you determine if emergency contraception might be a good choice for you.

We offer a three step process for emergency contraception. You must come in within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. We will do a pregnancy test to verify you are not already pregnant. We then will do a brief health history and will give the first pill. 12 hours after you have taken the first pill, you will take your 2nd pill. After two weeks, we will give you a second pregnancy test to verify that the procedure was a success.

The staff of Women’s Health Care Center want you to be fully aware of all of your options. For more information on the morning after pill, please contact us.
